Burgess Software is a small, independent studio. We design and build custom applications for teams who want technology that fits how they actually work — and we build free tools of our own, like our UK tax and mortgage calculators, because we'd rather ship something useful than talk about it.
How we work
We keep teams small and communication direct — you talk to the person actually writing the code, not an account layer between you and the work. We'd rather scope something honestly and hit it than promise everything and slip the date.
Most of what we build is meant to be used for years, not just launched once. That shapes the decisions we make early: plain, maintainable code over clever tricks, and interfaces that stay usable as the people using them — and their needs — change.
